Our Neighbor Segment on WFAA

Linked from the story on WFAA on Tuesday, April 5th

Watch for us on WFAA

Great News – Our SVdP-Frisco conference will be one of the news stories on WFAA, Channel 8’s morning show and their Our Neighbor Segment on Tuesday, April 5.  We do not have a specific time, but I’m sure it will be repeated during the morning’s news cast.  We were told it would also be on their website under the Neighbor Link.  Their web address is www.wfaa.com.   You will be able to see how your hard work has helped past clients and truly touched their hearts.  We hope this segment will help to inform the area of our organization’s presence and willingness to help those in need.

Deacon Daniel Covarrubias

Deacon Daniel Covarrubias, Spiritual Advisor for St. Vincent de Paul – Frisco, joined our Precious Lord in heaven on March 29, 2011.  Deacon Dan fought the good fight, ran the race and now rests in the embrace of his Father in heaven.  We have been blessed by his example of faith, hope, kindness and love.  There is no better way to live your life than in service to God and others – Deacon Dan did this ever day of his life.  We will miss him here with us to guide us; but celebrate the joy and peace that is now his in heaven.

Please pray for the repose of his soul and also pray for his wife, Cindy, daughters Theresa and Monica, his grandchildren and extended family.

In Memory

Did you know that you can make a Memorial Donation to St. Vincent de Paul in the memory of a loved one?

We have had many inquiries and wanted all to know that this is possible. Simply provide the name of the deceased, the name & address of the deceased family and your name and address; this is required so that all will receive acknowledgments of this memorial.

There are two options for making a donation in memory of a loved one.

  1. Enclose a check made out to St. Vincent de Paul and place all this in an envelope addressed to St. Vincent de Paul.  Mail to our church address or take to the office here at church, and they will put in our mail box.
  2. Visit our  on-line donation forms and make a one-time donation.   When checking out, add the details for the memorial.

The memorial donation will go directly to serve God’s children in need. What a beautiful way to remember those we loved and lost.
