In Memory
Did you know that you can make a Memorial Donation to St. Vincent de Paul in the memory of a loved one?
We have had many inquiries and wanted all to know that this is possible. Simply provide the name of the deceased, the name & address of the deceased family and your name and address; this is required so that all will receive acknowledgments of this memorial.
There are two options for making a donation in memory of a loved one.
- Enclose a check made out to St. Vincent de Paul and place all this in an envelope addressed to St. Vincent de Paul. Mail to our church address or take to the office here at church, and they will put in our mail box.
- Visit our on-line donation forms and make a one-time donation. When checking out, add the details for the memorial.
The memorial donation will go directly to serve God’s children in need. What a beautiful way to remember those we loved and lost.

Several Special Events Scheduled For Deacon Daniel’s Prayer Vigil
As we prepare for Deacon Daniel’s Prayer Vigil, which begins tomorrow (Tuesday 30 March) after the 8:30 a.m. mass at St. Francis, and continues for 24 hours, we are asking for your assistance in promoting the vigil’s special events. Please attend as many of these events as you can — and please bring your family members! (Please email this information to your friends).
As of Saturday, all 48 prayer positions had been filled by 42 different petitioners, including many from SVdP. While we want at least 2 people praying at every hour through the 8:30 a.m. mass on Wednesday, we are hoping to see numerous people praying at every hour. Therefore, please know that even if you are not scheduled to pray, you are invited (and encouraged) to come and pray at your convenience, whether it’s for 5 minutes or a full hour.
You may send your personal message to Deacon Daniel and his family by writing in Deacon Daniel’s Prayer Vigil Journal, which will be available on the SVdP table near the narthex.
Special Events Schedule
The following special events are scheduled during the vigil — please attend them!
- Tuesday, 9 a.m., Fr. Larry’s prayer service.
- Tuesday, 10 a.m., Deacon Ed Putonti’s prayer service.
- Tuesday, noon, music presented by St. Francis Choir.
- Tuesday, 3 p.m., music presented by St. Francis Choir.
- Tuesday, 4 p.m., Deacon Carl’s prayer service (time is approximate).
- Tuesday, 7 p.m., Rosary led by Knights of Columbus.
- Tuesday, 8 p.m., music presented by St. Francis Choir.
- Tuesday, 9:30 p.m. music presented by Hispanic Music Ministry.
- Wednesday, 6:45 a.m., Deacon Gregg’s prayer service.
- Wednesday, 8:15 a.m., Fr. Vincent’s prayer service and Benediction.
Special events occur simultaneously while petitioners are praying in the church. If you’re a petitioner, you may continue to pray silently during special events, or follow the lead of the person leading the event, i.e. sing with choir members, pray with the priests and deacons, recite the rosary, etc.
Participating in the vigil is a meaningful step through our Holy Week 2010 Journey!
