St. Vincent de Paul Frisco is pleased to announce their spring fund raiser, bringing two wonderful comedy shows to Frisco, Texas for the first time!
On May 17, 2014, St. Vincent de Paul Frisco will present the national tour of two great shows direct from Chicago, Illinois. The comedies, created and performed by the nationally acclaimed Nuns4Fun Entertainment are “Movie Bingo” and “Put the Nuns in Charge”. Both shows will take place at the St. Francis of Assisi Parish Hall in Frisco, Texas.
Movie Bingo – You’ll be laughing so hard, you’ll have to be careful watching your bingo cards!
Vicki Quade, creator of the hit comedy Late Night Catechism, brings to life a new comedy about fundraising and bingo. There is something for everyone here as movies are looked at through the fun lens of the Catholic faith. Which Pope wanted to be an actor? Which movie star became a nun? What movies are condemned by the Catholic Church? Lots of Hollywood trivia! Everyone gets to play bingo and potentially win some wacky prizes…what could be more fun?! Movie Bingo will begin at 3:00 pm on May 17, 2014.
Put the Nuns in Charge – The hilarious show that makes you laugh so hard, it ought to be a sin!
Mrs. Mary Margaret O’Brien gives her own take on the Golden Rule and has something to say on everything from skirt length to cell phones. The Seven Deadly Sins get their turn in the spotlight as Mrs. O’Brien shows how they apply to modern-day behavior. Experience the delicious shock of recognition when you return to the classroom of your youth! Put the Nuns in Charge will begin at 7:00 pm on May 17, 2014.
Tickets Available for Purchase. Hurry! Limited Supply!
Ticket prices are $25 pre-sale and $30 the week of the show (May 10th – 17th) and include food and a door prize raffle entry. Alcohol and non-alcoholic beverages will also be available for purchase. Click here to purchase tickets or come to the Parish Hall on the weekends of March 22 & 23, April 19 & 20, and May 10 & 11. Seats are limited and sell outs are expected, so everyone is encouraged not to wait on purchasing their tickets. See you at the show!
Have a car to donate?
Why Giving to SVDP is Unique
A. We look at each car and evaluate the “Best Venue Decision” to raise the most money. We will look at the Wholesale auction market, depending on condition.
We also consider the recycling of vehicles to be good business and good for the environment. A recycled car can be used for car replacement parts. Scrap metal yards also specialize in taking old metal and selling it to companies to turn into new item.
Due to weather, this event has been rescheduled to Monday, October 28

Please participate – you’ll have a great time, some friendly competition and the biggest winner of all will be all the families you help who are in desperate situations.

Christ has no body now on earth but yours, no hands but yours, no feet but yours, Yours are the eyes through which to look out with Christ’s compassion to the world. Yours are the feet with which he is to go about doing good; Yours are the hands with which he is to bless men now.”

Our SVDP raffle drawing was held Friday afternoon at 3:00 pm. As a small group of Vincentians gathered in the church office, Monseigneur Larry did the honors and drew the name of VERONICA M. A phone call was placed immediately to the phone number on the winning ticket and Nathan informed Veronica’s mother of the win (Veronica was not home at the time).
Support from the community for the raffle was tremendous and we have raised nearly $11,000 which will be used to assist those in need in the Frisco area. Thank you to everyone who participated…many, many people will benefit from this event.
The drawing for the $5000 visa gift card is this afternoon, May 24, 2013.
Online ticket sales are now closed.
SVdP works all year to help those in need; The success of this raffle will help us fund those in need for months! Thank you for your participation, we will post details on the winner soon.
Thank you for making Bundle Sunday a Success
We are truly blessed with the generosity of the St Francis Community. We surprised the St Vincent DePaul store a little as well – 3 trucks full of donations.
Thank you to all of the Vincentions (and their spouses) who helped with this event this weekend. These trucks were full – we have some expert packers (not Green Bay) who volunteered to help. We cannot thank you enough for all of your help. And a special thanks to Gerry Cerveny for helping organize.
